Margaret Tobin, known as Molly Brown, was born on July 18, 1867, in Hannibal, Missouri. She moved to Leadville, Colorado, a mining town, where she met and married James Joseph Brown. The couple eventually moved to Denver, where Molly became known for her social work and activism.

The Browns struck wealth when J.J.’s engineering skills led to a substantial gold find. In Denver, Molly engaged in extensive charity work, focusing on women's rights, children’s education, and historic preservation. She became a prominent figure in Denver's social circles.

Titanic Survivor and Later Fame (1912) 

Molly Brown gained international fame as a survivor of the Titanic disaster in 1912. Her efforts to help other passengers and commandeer a lifeboat earned her the nickname "The Unsinkable Molly Brown."

Philanthropy and Political Aspirations (1912-1932) 

Post-Titanic, Molly continued her philanthropic work in Denver and ran for the U.S. Senate, although she was not elected. She remained active in social causes until her death on October 26, 1932.
